Kalgoorlie-Boulder is renowned for its historic buildings and mining heritage and many of the tourist attractions reflect this. However, the Goldfields’ city is also a vibrant, modern industry and tourism hub, that is building on its past and embracing the future.

Tourist Attractions

Some of the major tourist attractions include the Australian Prospectors & Miners Hall of Fame, the Superpit and Superpit Shop, the Kalgoorlie Museum of the Goldfields, Little Boulder Sweet Shop, Boulder War Museum, Boulder Town Hall and RFDS Visitor Centre. Several tours of the city and surrounding regions also provide visitors with informative and enjoyable insights into the stories and locations of the Goldfields.

Events

There are also many events that feature on the social, cultural and industry calendar, including Diggers & Dealers, the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Race Round, the biennial Goldfields Mining Expo and Saint Barbara’s Festival. Accommodation is usually at a premium during these times, so visitors are encouraged to book ahead to avoid disappointment.

Tourist Centre

The Kalgoorlie Goldfields Visitor Centre, located in the historic Kalgoorlie Town Hall on Hannan Street, is able to provide a wealth of information about everything that is on offer during your stay in the Goldfields. The centre staff are also able to make bookings for tours or transport, and have a large range of souvenirs available for purchase.
